Mise-en-Scene, or 'Setting the Scene', refers to the stage arrangements, backdrops, and lighting which together comprise a theatrical setting.

In this case, an elegant three-storey picture window sets the stage for a dynamic theatrical relationship with the neighborhood.

Inside, sunlight cast through surrounding boulevard trees lends a softly luminous backdrop to the interior life of the home across all levels.

Outside, a raised semi-private 'stage' overlooks the street, set before a three-storey backdrop of rippled sheer curtain - a place to observe the pageant of neighborhood street life, and contribute a little moment of urban theater in return.

At night, the picture window becomes a three-storey lantern, casting a luminous ambiance out toward the neighborhood.
