GREAT LAKE STUDIO

Kingsway Heritage

The home suffered from a poorly considered previous renovation that left it chopped-up into a series of small, dark, and disjointed spaces.
The home was aggressively opened-up, with large sections of structure removed and replaced with a pinwheel of arches, lending the main living spaces a cloister-like quality. This motif carries through many other areas of the home - in the definition of alcoves, niches, even shower enclosures and plumbing fixtures.
One of the Homeowners, a cookbook author and professional food blogger, regularly cooks for television from her own kitchen, making this the most essential space in the home (when is it not?).
